My views living through the pandemic

I am absolutely dumbfounded how many people so quickly and unquestioningly gave up liberty for a false sense of security. It became very clear apparently that half the country finds it acceptable to use the government as a crutch. In other words, people are having a hard time grappling with the idea of individual responsibility. Even more so I am shocked that mostly liberals had no problem letting the government dictate how people ought to behave. Surely, nothing can go wrong when governments get citizens to police behavior and thought. I guess majoring in history has fallen off. Ironically, the people who dislike the government think the government should have more control over individuals actions. The psychology & hypocrisy has been quite appalling. Pro lock down people will tell you businesses shouldn’t be open while being out with you in society. Really how scared are you?

Everyday life was not altered all too much. I work in health care. So I did not lose my job. I don’t go out drinking often. I work out, read & make money. Certainly, socializing took a hit but even that was not catastrophic. Without having pandemic distractions like relying on stimulus checks. A unique perspective was available for exercise. Nothing made sense about the pandemic. The science says less than 1% of people who caught it died. Now I know I know. 1% still matters those are real people. Yes sure true but what are we suppose to do bubble wrap the earth? Risk is apart of life and if we’re honest with ourselves when we look back. We will have to admit we over reacted. Our over reaction was more costly than the “Pandemic” itself. We were suppose to lock down for two weeks to flatten the curve and a year later the hypocrisy rages on.

In conclusion to my observation to people’s relation with the government. The government is incredibly horrible at being effective & fair. Yet still people want the government to raise taxes & have more control over our lives. It has been incredible to bear witness.

I refused to let the pandemic halt any of my hobbies. I built a home gym immediately and never stopped getting that pump. Kept in touch with loved ones. Continued to eat right and eventually adopted new hobbies. While also attaining new skills. Fortunately, with all the extra time I had. Optimizing the significance of my thrive came with ease. I was like water during this whole year. I am better for this insanity.

I have never appreciated freedom more than I do now. I became aware that there are forces & masses in america that truly want to limit individual liberty. As well as create a dependence on the government. All in the name of doing the right thing. Slick, very slick to Trojan horse horrible policy behind we’re doing whats best for you.

People need to regain the value of individual responsibility. Take care of yourself & don’t expect the government to hold your hand through life.

Very strange times were in. Nobody makes good decisions in a panic. Just breathe good always wins eventually.
